AMERICA’S GOT TALENT FALL 2010 TOUR ITINERARY:

Jackie Evancho – Jackie Evancho started singing when she was seven years old, after watching the movie “Phantom of the Opera.” Her mother heard Evancho singing songs from the movie and allowed her to enter a local talent contest just for fun. She finished as the runner-up and was voted the audience favorite. Eventually she participated in other talent contests and started a YouTube channel.

Prince Poppycock – John Quale has been singing from the time he could speak. Enamored with David Bowie, Depeche Mode, opera, madrigals, Gilbert and Sullivan, the Smiths and Gregorian chant, he started to write and record his own music. In 2006, Prince Poppycock was born. He was an instant hit and is extremely excited to bring Prince Poppycock to America’s Got Talent’s stage.

Fighting Gravity – Fighting Gravity is a black-light illusion dance performance, featuring brothers from the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. By competing on America’s Got Talent, Fighting Gravity wants to inspire others by showing that through hard work, determination, and some good lighting, anybody can accomplish their dreams.

Michael Grimm – Michael Grimm grew up in South Mississippi where his grandparents raised him. His grandmother took him to church on Sundays, where she played the piano at the service. This was where Michael fell in love with music. His grandmother inspired him and encouraged him to pursue his newfound love. America’s Got Talent can be the vehicle to help him achieve his goal.

Taylor Mathews – Taylor Mathews is a singer/songwriter born in Alexandria, Louisiana in 1991. Taylor pursued this dream religiously along with singing, which landed him on the nation’s most popular show, America’s Got Talent, on which he dreams of sharing his musical ambition and his very own heart with everyone.

Michael Grasso – Michael began studying magic almost 27 years ago, and has since been on a personal quest to push his art to the highest level of skill and originality. He’s not about tricks. He’s about real magic.
With his powerful, cutting-edge style, Michael has gained international notoriety, performing around the globe in diverse venues for crowds as large as 20,000.

Jeremy Vanschoonhoven – Jeremy started his Bike Trials career in 1996, attending two or three competitions. In 1997, Jeremy attended the National Championship Series, and won the amateur division. He was asked to move up to the pro division, thus becoming the youngest professional trials rider in the history of U.S. cycling. Today he has quit his machine shop job to train for America’s Got Talent.

Christina and Ali – Christina and Ali are sisters from Idaho Falls, Idaho, who since childhood, have continually astonished audiences with their singing and songwriting talents. Each sister has their own unique strength – Ali is a vocal Swiss Army knife and can yodel, while Christina leaves listeners stunned by with her giant voice.

Anna and Patryk – Anna and Patryk have been dancing since they were five and six years old respectively. Over the last four years, they have enjoyed great success in dancing competitions and have won the Nationals for three consecutive years. They also represented the United States twice at the World Championships in Blackpool, England.

The Studio One Young Beast Society – The Studio One Young Beast Society is a group of young dancers that was formed in 2009. They are from Orlando Florida and once lived in one of the roughest parts of the city where shootings were a common occurrence. The opportunity to be on a show such as Americas Got Talent has already proven to them that dreams really do come true; they’re just a step away.

AGT Tickets to America’s Got Talent Live go on sale Friday, July 23rd at 10am.

“America’s Got Talent has discovered some of the most amazing performers that this country has to offer,” said Debra Rathwell of AEG Live, in making the announcement. “We’re proud to have the opportunity to tour this unique and explosive live stage show.”

“After the huge success of both the television show and the live version of America’s Got Talent in Las Vegas hosted by Jerry Springer, we’re thrilled for another opportunity to bring fans closer to one of their favorite shows, in what is sure to be an amazing tour,” said Andy Felsher, Senior VP Entertainment, Games, and Live Events, FME.

America’s Got Talent returned this summer with the hottest performers from across the country competing in the blockbuster reality show’s fifth season. Bringing the variety show format back to the forefront of American culture each week, the show features a colorful array of hopeful future stars — singers, dancers, comedic performers and unique acts of all ages. While each contestant has the chance to strut and perform in front of a panel of celebrity judges including Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan, the eventual winner is chosen by the television viewing audience.

In 2000, Michael was encouraged to move to Las Vegas because of the abundance of work. He worked in Las Vegas with many different artists, learning and playing a wide variety of musical styles. He eventually formed his own three-piece band, working in small local bars, casino lounges, and a few Vegas steakhouses.

When he auditioned for America’s Got Talent, he had a goal. That goal was to show his appreciation to his grandparents. Just like many others, his grandparents lost everything in Hurricane Katrina. Michael would like to offer his grandparents a home. America’s Got Talent can be the vehicle to help him achieve his goal.

Evancho has performed onstage with producer David Foster; was an invited performer on the PBS Special “Celebrate America” with conductor/composer Tim Janis; sang the national anthem at an event honoring aviation pioneer General Chuck Yeager; and has performed many times at the invitation of Pennsylvania Senator Jane Orie. Jackie also performs at numerous events and charity functions in and around her hometown.

Jackie Evancho sings in the “classical crossover” style of singers such as Hayley Westenra and Sarah Brightman. She studies singing with a voice coach, and also plays the violin and piano.

On August 10, 2010, on America’s Got Talent, she performed “O Mio Babbino Caro” by Giacomo Puccini. The aria is also on her debut album. She received a standing ovation after her performance, and was awarded a trip to Universal Studios in Florida for receiving the most votes from submissions to the show from YouTube.

The name Fighting Gravity comes from the illusions they perform, which seem to defy the laws of physics. The group never expected to reach an international audience, and hope they can continue amazing audiences with impossible illusions that don’t use any wires or special effects. Fighting Gravity hopes to represent the Virginia Tech community in a positive light after the tragic events of April 16th, 2007, as some of the group’s members were students at that time. By competing on America’s Got Talent, Fighting Gravity wants to inspire others by showing that through hard work, determination, and some good lighting, anybody can accomplish their dreams.

In 2006, Prince Poppycock was born. While he was studying opera, he completed learning the Figaro aria, “Largo al factotum.” He was asked to perform the aria and decided to perform as a powdered-wigged baroque dandy, to highlight how the song was about being a fabulous hairdresser. He was an instant hit and is extremely excited to bring Prince Poppycock to America’s Got Talent.
